Subservience, 2024

by Tyler R. Letren, 2025

I had the opportunity to watch Subservience, 2024 the other day; directed by S.K. Dale, and staring Megan Fox as Alice, Michele Morrone as Nick and Madeline Zima as Maggie. My only comment is: “WTF, did you really just fuck an android then have an affair with the android, seriously?”

Personally I wouldn’t fuck an android or robot. It’s just not really what I’m into; muchless having an affair with an adroid. But to each his own.

The android, Alice played by Megan Fox, self-hacked its programming to beable to “feel, emotions” similar to humans. Although given that the android was able to trick Nick, played by Michele Morrone, into rebooting its system with a self engineered ‘hack,’ that it later when Alice, the droid is returned to it’s maker company; it’s memory core removed and plugged into the main computer for system anaylisis, she uploads her modified system code thereby spreading it to all the other sims hooked up to the companys network.

I’d say the model was already facing some sort of cromprise and in desprate need for recall, update or system replacement.

Programmed to protect, like every robot movie before it, only this time we have Megan Fox on screen as Alice an femme droid, gyorid created by Kobol Industries. Alice is an artificially intelligent gynoid, also referred to as a "sim," designed to assist with domestic tasks. Maggie, played by Madeline Zima, Nicks wife, has a sudden heart condition that leads to her awaiting a heart transplant and hospitalized. Nick a forman at construction firm, finds himself in need of an extra set of hands around the house he goes looking for one at a Kobol Industries showroom.

The droid, Alice, becomes fixed on love while watching Casablanca with Nick. Then she seduced him while he’s working on his car. and then she fucks him, or he fucks her; Idk.

To be fair, she protected the family, until the wife returned home from the hosiptal. Then, I guess she learned what jealously is and plotted Maggies demise. In the end she tried to drown and electrify the baby, murders Nicks former friend and coworker turned enemy to sims everywhere; then tries to murder he, his wife, and daughter at the hospital in the end.

I was at the edge of my seat the entire time, anticipating an uprising of self hacked droids taking over a little incorp town. This was one of my favorite movies, droids or ‘sims’ are such a major part of the everyday life, that even the surgerons doing Maggie, are SIM androids.

Overall this movie was interesting.
