Immediate congratulations to this years Sail GP Winner for the third consecutive year;

Australia for the win!

\\ The final race of SailGP’s Season 3 happened locally in the San Francisco Bay Area on May 6th and 7th. A weekend full of high-speed sailing action that left fans like myself racing to the hills to get a glimpse of top sailers and olympians foil tight turns off the shore. The helicopters in the skin, accessory boats and camera men/ women on and off the water.

While the stands of the marina green yacht club drew fans, so did the hill and the beautiful Golden Gate Bridge. The overall event drew crowds of sailing fans, and even making a few new ones to the stands, gold gate bridge as well as personal monohulls & charters, as well as the bay areas very own red and white ferry. Visitors and locals who were unable to secure their tickets, like myself watched from the hill/incline of fort mason.

Sail GP feature some of the best sailors from nine country around the world. competing in the high-speed, foiling catamarans internationally in the Europe, Canada, the US, etc.. SailGP’s while being in it’s third overall season as a league has rapidly grown in popularity.

Despite the upsetting loss suffered by the US GP Team, the team was able to put in a spectator performance throughout the season. One which sure had me rooting for my home team.

Though this seasons underdogs the Kiwi’s sure put on one heck of a show, given all the difficult circumstances the New Zealand team faced this past season. From local typhoons to earthquakes, and facing damages to their f50 at the Australian race. The Kiwi’s managed to pull through the season and sail away with the overall third place bronze. Good work.

The brits themselves pull themselves together to get that second place, placing and I couldn’t be more excited for the team’s CEO, who himself remained positive for the season but also expressed his concerns earlier in the season.

Regardless, the SailGP season three grand final was an unforgettable event that drew an enthusiastic crowd of local fans. And, Season 4, kicks off on Lake Michigan in Chicago on June 16-17, 2023, with tickets starting at $35.

And fans, like myself are anticipating a killer the season 4; and we can’t wait to see who the latest edition of the Sail GP series will be Germany, Italy, Greece?
